About Buffalo Employment & Training

Workforce buffalo is a network of employment and training providers, educational institutions, economic development agencies, and community service organizations working together to help every person reach his or her career goals.
Our career centers provide basic career services for all job seekers, with a priority of service given to low-income individuals, to those who are basic skills deficient (including english language learners), and to veterans and eligible spouses for individualized career and training services. Our business services team facilitates training initiatives with businesses, educational providers and community organizations.
At the center of this work is the buffalo and erie county workforce investment board, inc. (becwib), the local area’s workforce development board under the workforce innovation and opportunity act (wioa), and the buffalo and erie county workforce development consortium, inc. (wdc), its fiscal agent and the grant sub-recipient of wioa funds,
