Because the work is so varied, providers here split roughly into a few types: agencies that do bespoke, project-based builds and bill for time and specialist skill; media owners and networks that sell access to an audience or inventory they already control; logistics-heavy operators who handle physical distribution and fulfilment at scale; research firms that run surveys, interviews, and data analysis; and platforms or marketplaces that connect brands to a pool of creators, publishers, or channels. When comparing them, the useful questions are: do they own the audience or inventory themselves, or are they reselling someone else's; is the engagement a one-off build or an ongoing subscription to reach; what vertical or geography do they actually specialise in versus claim to cover; and can they show you results from a comparable campaign, not just a client list. Because this category sits outside the mainstream channels, due diligence matters more here than with a typical SEO or paid media vendor — ask exactly what you get, when, and how it's measured before you sign anything.
